If you guys can post what kind of ammo you are using for either of those guns. I started buying some CCI 40gr minimags, and some hollow points. But I've had a couple of jams recently with them in my sr22. Just seeing what other people are using. Thanks,

I use Winchester 555 in my 10/22 and it runs very near 100% (1 feed jam in ~1200 rounds so far). Other guns like Dynapoint GT or Federal 525 pack ammo. All you can do with rimfire is run through the usual brands you have and see what they like.

I run everything through my SR22 from the cheap junk, right up to CCI Stinger's. They all work perfectly with no jams. What magazine are you using? My experience is that some aftermarket mags are responsible for almost all 10/22 jams. I either use Ruger mags or BC Steel Lips. I never have any issues.

For the most part I only use Blazer in my SR22 and have no issues whatsoever with it. I have run a few other CCI loads and had no problems. Winchester HV (?) hollowpoint bulk box gave me nothing but issues, if it didn't jam on ejection it jammed on feeding. Federal blue box 525 was hit and miss, Winchester 333 was mostly miss. Edit: factory Ruger 10 round mags and Shooters Ridge 25 round mags, both steel lip.

I am using a Butler creek. I have a pic of what happened to a bullet after it got jammed. I am new to guns, so I don't know what happened, but take a look, it kind of scratched and bent it.

That is typical of what happens when the round gets jammed into the feed ramp instead of making it into the chamber. Nothing to particularly worry about unless it is happening regularly. Rimfire semi's will all occasionally jam one in that way, it is just how they are. What you need to do is find the ammo your gun likes that minimizes the misfeeds. As I mentioned, my 10/22 has stuffed one like that in over 1200 rounds. My 22/45 will run 500+ rounds with maybe one of these as well. Just put the mangled round into the dud ammo can at the range and carry on.
