Has anyone any experience leaving ammo linked for say 5 to 10 yrs. Could this become a problem to deteriote the casings - due to chemical reaction-rusting etc? Say mg42 belts -metal of course and .30 and .50 cal links? Besides the scratching first time inserted cartridges. Dale

You may wish to read up on Galvanic Corrosion

I don't know if Brass is effected, but I know a Copper pipe against a steel hanger will do this in your house...

Not a problem if stored in a cool dry place.
