Ammo Prices Are They Increasing??

I think they're learning from the petroleum industry and gouging whenever/wherever they can. Have prices for copper, brass, and lead gone up? Sure they have. By a LOT. But the manufacturers have bucked previous increases - lead's been on the rise steadily for a few years now, yet it's only now that we're really seeing increases in end-user costs.

It's no longer a warehousing issue or a stock rollover issue; it's an excuse to gouge, and it's unfortunate.

Never been happier that I roll some of my own (and constantly expanding my line-up of dies).

The longer they put off increases , the more the increase will be when it does come.If the costs of their supplies increases they're not gouging to stay in business by keeping pace or they're margins drop and then you'll really see a fast increase. "bucking" inflation costs will only work for so long.

I keep hearing it too, but if anything, I've seen our prices drop. Perhaps we are still getting hosed and it's just the Canadian dollar is higher, but I just bought a whack of factory stuff. I picked up about 12 boxes of Federal .30-30 for around $12 a box and I see SIR is selling the same stuff for $10. Years back, this ammo was closer to $15 or $16 dollars. I haven't seen any difference in .22 LR ammo, but I haven't had to buy for a long time, and these are the only 2 cartridges I don't roll my own. And I don't know about shotshell ammo either. I have enough lead shells to last for several years, and when I do buy steel, I get it on sale.
