Hi Guys.
I just picked up a Browning 1885, falling block in 22-250. It has a 26" barrel with 1:14 twist. It appears unfired and the date code indicates 1989 manufacture. This rifle will be occasionally used on varmints and coyotes out to about 400 yards.

I would appreciate some factory ammo suggestions for that length of barrel and rate of twist, based on any field experience that you might have. Thanks for your help.

Try the hornady vmax loadings, 50gr or the 53gr loads. That's what I would start with if I had to slum factory loads.

But each rifle is different and will like different loads.

I have never shot a factory round out of my B-78 22-250. Mine however does like 55gr SPSX and 50gr Vmaxs. I do have a load for 55gr Hornady SPs that I have used for shooting deer but gave it up when the internet told me it wouldn't work.
