Ammo sale

Probably depends on size of ordsr. They have not charged me for ammunition orders

The CCI AR ammo is good stuff. Cycles perfectly in everything I own with consistent accuracy. Usually it's the junk on sale. Load up looks like 4 boxes and a box of stingers bring it up to free shipping.

I think it's being confused with most other websites that sell ammunition and don't include ammo as part of their free shipping.

Cabela's definitely offers free shipping on ammunition if they have a promo code for free shipping.
 
Just placed my order for four boxes...112$ tax and shipping included with promo code.

Read the first line of the second paragraph regarding free shipping policy:

•Shipping fees on oversized, overweight and dangerous goods are excluded from this offer. Examples include ammunition, powders, primers, blinds, fishing rods and safes

They clearly state that ammo is not included, what part of that do you not understand, or did you just graduate from the Wynne short bus school of achievement?

I’ve bought lots of ammo with the free shipping code.

It may be in their terms, but they don’t enforce it.
 
Recieved a flat of target loads and 4 boxes of slugs shipped free from Cabelas a couple of weeks ago.
It’s been stated before that there’s a weight threshold for free shipping. My order was fairly heavy. Ymmv

Yup - and for the amounts of ammo you're ordering when you get $99 worth it's not overweight. Order 3 crates of 1500 7.62 x 39 and its probably overweight; 2 - 3 kg of .22 shells evidently not.

Look at the 7.62 x 39 page - it very clearly says
i: Overweight/Bulky item – an additional shipping charge may apply to this item.

It doesn't say that for the .22LR shells.

There's a difference between "rules" and "examples used to illustrate the potential application of rules".
