Ammo selection for Africa, warthog, bush pig and impala

thats Roland Ward you got me beat by an inch, I agree I also hunt at the debut of season, a little wet but thats what gortex is for but my poor rifles, gave them some character, probably my favourite pig to hunt, did a warthog grand slam the first time, rained 20 out of 24 days last year, hopefully it does not rain so hard next year but alas the warthogs are not as big down south as up north, curious how you mounted him, im going to do a wall pedestal new time around

The plan was a simple skull on either a pedestal or simply on the coffee table. But with the broken schnoz that makes it a bit difficult. I might get the skull repaired (though I still want to see the character). For now it's in a box waiting for me to make up my mind.

Another head shot.

Why did you put a stick in your mouth?

Very nice rifle... ideal really, for that task... one might argue "ultimate..."

It was a nice rifle, but unfortunately not mine, it belonged to the exceedingly generous but very long limbed fellow in the center of my impala photo. It was a custom shop job, with a nice piece of lumber attached to it, but the 15" LOP was distracting, and I found I was shooting 8" inches below the point of aim.
