Hi all, trying to ship 50 rounds from Ottawa to Toronto. Tried contacting Purolator and they said I needed to be a licensed shipper so that ended that call. I have been on hold with Canpar for over an hour to speak with someone. Anyone know what my next step should be?

Thanks
Rob

Keep trying Canpar they are one of the few that will handle Dangerous Goods from an individual. You may want to try DHL - don't know if they will deal with an individual or not.

At work we ship via Purolator and UPS so they have no problem handling ammo (or firearms), just not from an individual.

On the Alberta ###### web site they have what is called a "Pony Express" thread where people who are going somewhere post their destination/itinerary etc and offer to take/pick up items for other board members.

Maybe you could ask here if anyone is heading that way.

Finally got through to canpar. Was told to package it, call them for pickup and they will deliver it. Do not need to tell them what is inside the package. Sounds good to me!!!!

And it's actually more reasonable than I would have thought, too !

I shipped a crate of 7.62X54R from Windsor Ont. to Toronto with CANPAR ...and as you said....ALOT cheaper than I had hoped for..
