Ammo shortage at Canadian Tire??

Ammunition deliveries are now coming in, fully stocked and available. The deliveries are quarterly, this is the end of the first quarter and the deliveries are on time and full.

No Shortage.

Good to know is that CTC only or generally?

The one in Bedford N.S. is low but the chick said they are at quarter end as stated above and new stock will be coming in!

that is stupid crazy, this is why its good to stock up by the thousands, ammo doesnt go bad, and you can always sell it to recoup costs

My U.S. friends are reporting .223 at $1.50/rd and .22 bricks at up to $70. Cant imagine ANY ammo coming to Canada until the panic buying abates. I have been waiting for someone to start this thread. BUY YOUR AMMO NOW. Shelves are empty in the States...sniff around you'll see.

Local store had .22LR good 40-50 boxes that hold 5000 rounds each here in Grande Prairie, 500 rounds $25

Stopped at my local Canadian Tire store in Napanee, Ontario and the ammo shelf is half empty. The posted a few signs that said something like this.... Due to US demand it is difficult to obtain ammo. <-- Not the exact words but thats how I interpreted the sign.

Any other Canadian Tire have this "problem"?

I certainly hope you have another option than Crappy tire for buying ammo from.
I buy CT ammo if there isnt another shop open and for emergency purposes only.

CT store in New Glasgow NS hasn't had ANY 223 in at least 6 months. Any they JUST got in some bulk blazer,fed champion and Winchester target tact?

I just made the rounds of 4 CT stores to buy enough .22 WMR to see me through the spring because my local gun store was out of it, well, one box.

I was able to snag 2 or three boxes at each one and am happy.

Curiously, one store just sold it to me, one asked for my PAL and two stores pulled out a book and copied down my PAL details along with what I bought.
The second store was my local and I know the Asst Mgr. so I went and asked him why. Apparantly they had no idea that they do not have to keep a record
and were doing it the same way as last year.
I had nothing to hide so I allowed it but asked him formally to review his procedures and destroy the record of my purchase.

We'll see what happens

I really think if everyone would just settle down with buying or stock piling ammo for just a week the the price hiking would stop an drop back to where it should be an give the ammo makers time to catch up, people go in to panic mode to fast.thats wat started all this some crazy nut south of the 49th came up with a story that the government is gonna stop the ammo markers from selling to civilians got am all nuts! and its not gonna stop till all the stock pliers run out of money. an as far as walmart or canada tire goes they are out of ammo most times at the best of times in my area anyway.
