How does everyone store their ammo? I'm not talking a couple hundred rounds in an ammo can. I have several ammo cans full, spam cans off .223, bricks of .22, piles of mtm 100 round cases etc. I was looking for a school locker but can't find anything locally. Contemplating perhaps building a wooden crate of some sort? Maybe even something that would be moveable if need be (obviously not when full of hundreds of pounds).

I use my 14 gun stack on safe. Since I bought the new Browning safe the stack on has worked perfectly. For bulky cases of surplus I also have a Greenlee job box that I used to have in the pickup truck . I put it on wheels and built a bench so that it rolls under it and out of the way.

Bought a waterproof Stanley FatMax tool kit from Canadian Tire. It holds roughly 2000 rounds of 7.62x39, and has a nice little "shelf" for ammo pouches, tools, etc., if that helps paint a picture of it's size. Going to need another one for all of my .303 and 7.62X54R though.
I like it because it's lockable and seems very durable. More or less trying to eliminate any "unsafe storage" issues that may pop up.

On an almost completely unrelated note, one empty surplus crate holds all of my cleaning supplies and the other was claimed by the girlfriend.

ammo crates apparently make good planters. drill a few holes, landscape cloth, gravel, dirt then it drains and you're good

As for the ammo storage, I know a welder who took a little drawing I made and fabbed up a shelf for all my ammo cans and MTM cases
