All I get at my local gun stores when I ask for 25-20, is blank stares, ridicule or quotes of special ordering at about $100 all in for a box of 50.:ang

The last box of factory loads, Win. 86gr FP 50 rounds, that I bought for our 25-20 cost me $84.69 with tax. Short of the hundred mark but still too rich for me. This cartridge is perfect for the handloader to save some real coin on rolling your own, especially with cast bullets.
I do pick up the odd box or some loose rounds at gunshows now and then if the price is right but have largely switched over to necking down 32-20 brass for making up our rounds for this chambering.

Have you looked at Tradex? Great selection and fast shipping.

Tradex does have Starline 32-20 brass at a decent price, perfect for reforming to 25-20. I have not seen any 25-20 specific components or ammo in their listings. Interestingly enough that is where our rifle came from, a really nice shooting Husqvarna single shot model 25.

I haven't been to Al Simmons in Hamilton for over a year, but they had several boxes of 25-20 and 32-20 the time I was there. Doesn't hurt to call them. Yes, handloading is the best option. Both are excellent cartridges with huge potential.

Those 35 Self loading rounds are getting rather hard to find.......probably 3$ and up for each one.

Pretty uncommon round for sure, I do see the odd box or some loose rounds of 351 WSL kicking around from time to time at the shows I attend, but the 35 WSL is really hard to find. If I was looking seriously for ammo to keep one of these rifles shooting your estimate would easily be in my ballpark price wise.
