Since my rush 24 pack is getting pretty loaded, i am looking at alternate ways of transporting ammo instead of getting a bigger bag.
Currently using the plastic 50x 308 containers, when wanting to bring 200 rounds with me it uses up a chunk of space.

Was looking at the AEM precision 40 rounds pouches, pretty nice but have quite the price tag to them.
What are you guys using and where did you get it?

Edit, goods received

Driller : TAB gear has this loose ammo pouch concept i was looking at.
Don’t know if my concerns are founded, but am scared that loose ammo might bind someway and induce runout.
My ammo has 2/2.5 thou neck tension, with no crimp.

That coletac looks nice.
For a whole week-end/200 round outing, this would take 2, which is 170$US, I’d rather find an alternative.

Edit : voodoo tactical had Chinese tailored ones on the cheap side.
Discontinued and hard to find right now.
Something similar would be great.

That one is horrible in its own way. Looks very cool but won’t be gaining much with it.
Too bulky and too pricey.
If you google AEM precision ammo wallet match package, you «seem» to get something both more affordable per round carried and more compact/neatly designed.

Edit : tab also had a loose ammo pouch you can lookup.

Buy 4 get one free i think it said...
As my needs are for 200rds.

Still looking around.
I am surprised these style of products are not more common.

if you got the voodoo tactical one on ebay that might be your best bet, but it comes out to maybe $30 or more when its all said and done for just 40 rds.

There is also the DIY option if you have access to a sewing machine. An example is briefly shown in this article: http://www.65guys.com/match-ammo-management/

I bet someone like JSA tactical would sell some of these units if he made some and offered them in country, referencing to the DIY link you posted

I only carry my days worth of ammo in the novel plus load all my mags. Unless you will never be back to you truck or hotel you should only need one binder. I still travel with my ammo in MTM boxes then transfer into the novel to carry in my pack.

Makes sense.
I could keep my ammo in MTM boxes accessible in cottage/truck/hotel as i never shoot more than 100 per day anyways.

Will get the AEM ammo wallets in this case, as i prefer the format.

I was thinking of doing the same thing but decided against it... plastic boxes are so much cheaper and for $200+ U.S you can get 8 pounds of powder and then some. :D

I've been meaning to get some AEM ammo wallets but I'm cheap so Ive stuck with MTM boxes. I've never shot a match or a day of a 2-day match that 2 MTM boxes and 3 full mags wouldn't cover. That being said, Eric and Anne from AEM are super solid and are fixtures at matches here in the PNW. I figure I'll just grab an ammo wallet or 2 off a prize table sometime, haha.

A bit of time with the sewing machine and and old pair of jeans can get you something serviceable.

If you stay away from stretchy fabrics, don’t worry about finishing the edges, and cultivate a cheerfull acceptance of wavy seams it’s not hard.
