Ammo

CLAVEN2;
As you can see on the US market we sold a lot of it and the 7.62x39 down there....

We are still considering bringing some to Canada.

Have you ever considered subsidizing the Canadian market by charging the US more money, they will pay , just a thought :)

Blah just do what I did and do it. I bought a mosin a few months back and a tokarev yesterday :) Worst comes to worst you pickup some ammo in the US on your next trip.

Last night me and my friend brought in a bunch of ammo from the U.S, and the cdn customs officer told us we committed a felony, he said it's legal to import ammo, but the U.S has a law that says it's illegal to export. Does anyone know if he's right because I know a few other people who do the same and they never had any problems?

Nice first-post ... you might want to ask that question the in the "Legalese" section above, this sub-forum is for specific discussion on Marstar's products.

Do you have a rough estimate on how many rounds of each will come in? (I am assuming that you will most likely break off 70% or more for the US market but a rough estimate for canada would be nice)

Also, when you export to the US do you have certain exclusive dealers, or do you generally import (Just want to see what you guys offer down there that you can't up here)

Yes it is illegal. Canadian Customs don't care it's U.S. customs. I guess it's all the terrorists up here stock pilling ammo and sending it to Afghanistan and Iraq. Because it's to hard to get it from China, Iran,Pakistan,Syria,Russia etc etc.:jerkit:

Please take a moment to "search" this topic on CGN, I do think it habeen covered 100000000 times

If you continue your shopping ventures in the US do keep in touch, I'm sure the members here will be happy to e mail you (if you are allowed a computer) during your extended stay in a US Federal vacation facility.

"If you meet these criteria, you are eligible to purchase
ammunition to possess in the United States. However,
you MAY NOT take the ammunition with you when you
leave the United States unless:
1. For ammunition for sporting shotguns, you
have an FFL export the ammunition. The
FFL must obtain an export license from the
Department of Commerce prior to exportation."

that reads pretty cut and dry
