Ammunition and the looming tariffs

Mike from what I understand ,when they were asked about making ammo for the civilian market, they said the market was too small for them in Canada.

Before free trade, many U.S. companies had small plants in Canada to get around tariffs .These shut down after free trade and the products were shipped direct to Canada from U.S. plants.

I believe the old Stag Gun Oil, the best there gun oil ever was and made in Canada, lost out to the Browning ,Remington gun oils that came in cheaper after free trade. Many bought these products and Stag Gun Oil lost out and is no longer made.:(I still have some left that I use on the inside of firearms to be oiled.

Score may be able to access powder from General Dynamics in Canada (but I’m not 100%). But they have to purchase primers and hulls (not sure about wads) from overseas. These I understand are unobtainable. So I think very have been very challenged to produce hunting or trap loads.

But then what do I know!
