Ammunition Help

STAY AWAY from Winchester T22! It has become absolute crap with a number of FTF and even some rounds so malformed they won't even chamber in CIL/Anschutz 180 & 190. American Eagle solids have produced 100 - 8,9 & 10X's in these same rifles:). Kayceel

Well, the best groups I've had (including Minute of Gopher :D) has been American Eagle 36g hollowpoints. I have a Mossberg Plinkster, a Browning Buckmark .22 handgun, and the Gopher Slayer aka CIL/Anschutz Model 310.

I swear, with the Anschutz, you almost have to try to miss a gopher at any reasonable range (50 yds with a hooded front sight/notch rear) and American Eagle 22 ammo - either 36g hollowpoint or 40g solid nose.

American Eagle ammo usually outperforms its price ($20/brick of 500). The specialty target ammo (like Eley) might get you better groups, but depending on the rifle, I wouldn't bet big bucks on it.

eley or lapua:)

somewhat pricey and lubey, but accurate as heck:)

i like their entry-mid level stuff, it seems to work awesome in my guns, and it's not super expensive like their extreme end ammo ($20.00 for 50, yee-ikes).

I find Remington Cyclones a very accurate round with good punch in my Lakefield 64b (semi). But I also find it to be a dirty round and only use it when hunting, not for Plinking.

As others have said, Winchester Dynapoints, white bulk pack 500 rds. are a good and accurate round and can be had for under $20. They would likely work well. Every rifle is different.

By a box of 50, of every brand you can find and see what works best with your rig. What works well in one Cooey model 60, will not work the same in another model 60.

AE 40gr lead solids = 500 rds
AE 38gr plated HP = 400 rds

Was in at Cabelas (SIR) the other day, they used to sell alot of the AE stuff.... didn't see a single box in there.
Good thing my rimfires like the Federal 525 bulk stuff I guess. :)
