Ammunition information requested

you are correct in the fact that the TMJ jacket covers the whole bullet but companies such as wolf use TMJ with bimetal jackets thats what makes wolf so cheep
TMJ are most often of the time Bi metal jacketd

You do realize that every major us ammo maker has TMJ ammo, and I am guessing that it's very unlikely they are using bi- metal jackets. I still think you are confusing TMJ = Bi-metal.
I think TMJ pistol ammo is a legitimate request.

To the OP:

I'd like to see .223 hollow point ammo in bulk, competitively priced.

I think our friends at Western Metal can do better than Wolf. And I'm not really too worried about wearing out the barrels on my pistol and carbine at 45 acp velocities. But if TMJ gets some in a knot, I'm good with TMC or FMJ in 200grain to go with the HP. I just want a good Solid and HP option, at around 900-1000FPS that have the same approx POI.

We are now up and running (or walking at a reasonable pace) in our manufacturing of ammunition. We would really appreciate getting some information from the CGN members. We need to know what ammunition calibres are in short supply in your area of the country. If you have any questions send them to ray@westernmetal.ca - I will reply but it may take a day or two. Please refrain from asking questions on the thread. If you don't mind - we really need to know where in the country you live.

.45-70 govt. for modern lever action rifles (marlin 1895's and the like). Hard to find on the East Coast...and by East Coast I mean NOVA SCOTIA! A load developed to shoot a 350-405 grain jacketed bullet or copper solid at 2000 fps would be perfect! Your efforts are appreciated by all.

Slight detour, since you carry Lead Bullets, any chance you can have this polycoated. This type of bullet is now getting popular with IPSC and already tested with rifles.
Sorry for taking so long to reply. We are working hard to catch up on the demand of our available products. I am not saying that will never make these bullets - they are just not on our immediate list. Thank you for the inquiry.
