Hello gents,

I made a neat little tool with Excel to keep track of your ammunition stocks. All you need to do is type the appropriate number in the graph according to calibre and box size and the totals are calculated automatically. Two graphs automatically adjust with the totals to show you how your ammo is distributed. You can mod this to accommodate how many calibres you want and you can also edit the box sizes of course.

Just thought I'd share this with the CGN community. Here is a link to it, courtesy of MaDgamEr: madgamer.net/CGN/Ammunition_Inventory_V1.0.xls

I'm very interested in this! so can you email me the who setup so i dont have to set it up myself?

Thats right. You'll only have to edit the calibres or add more. If you have boxes bigger than the maximum I put you will need to add that yourself.

If I have requests for more calibres and more graphing options I can accommodate and edit the tool myself and send a consolidated version to those who desire!

Hmmm a self-imposed personal registry that could fall into anybody's curious hands.....neat idea but no thanks. Flashpaper and lemon-juice ink for me!!! And yes, when I'm shopping for the lemons I'll get extra tinfoil!

Haha. Well if you're that paranoid, you can fill it out without saving and print it. Unless you fear a printed inventory can fall into anybody's hands as well?

When the barrel is full, seal it, bury and start a new barrel. Just count the barrels. Much easier and less time consuming to update.

It's a great tool, thank you for sending it.

Modified for my calibers and different magazine and box quantities and it's taking some time to break it out but it gives me a better idea of what I have on hand and has already made me realize I don't have enough .500 S&W for two good range days so I will need to make some more.

Neat little tool, I modified it then counted my ammo and entered the data..... I am not sure having this much ammo around is legal....are we allowed to store over 50,000 rounds? lol kind of wish I hadn't let it total it up! However 53% of my ammo is rimfire ammo...

EDIT: I am going to modify this to show my brass as well, it's just going to take me weeks and weeks to count my brass, at least I keep it sorted!

Good point, I have blue Rubbermaid tubs of brass stacked all over, most aren't full because they are sorted. Almost all are once fired as well. Too bad most are in calibers I don't own, lol
