Ammunition prices

I priced my 9mm reloads using Aim bullets reusing brass 10x. That would mean $8.50/box all in.

I woudl also like to reload 44 magnum by way of casting my own bullets. Where do you guys buy your lead in the GTA?

Funny enough I just got my first 9mm handgun this week and I was standing in the gun shop the other day staring at ammo for $15 a box or paying $75 for dies plus ~$100 for bullets, $30 for powder and $45 for primers. The local yokels claimed it's better to just buy the ammo.

I bought into the hype that "9mm isn't worth reloading for" ...let me tell you, I was wrong. I'm getting 115gr. Federal AE for $15/box and easily go through 2 boxes a night. That means I have to either shoot less or get more ammo. Which shall I choose ?:p

I already reload for .40 so I shoulda just bought the components and sucked it up BUT nooo I chose to listen to the village idots... I guess that makes me one too:p

Never listen to the idiots. Reloading is the way to go for all but .22. Not only is it cheaper but you can make ammo you and your gun like.

Power to you. I've got to start loading 9mm. I run a P7 so the little thing gets hot. I shoot it only a bit so I just buy at the range. Saving the brass though...

Reloading also has a very big factor in WHAT YOUR TIME IS WORTH.....

I buy commercial reloads.....got into reloading (XL650 with all the whistles), never found time, too busy & too damn ADD, I hardly find time to shoot these days.

That being said, I'm into a stockpile of 12000 rounds of .40 180gr for ~15 a box, shipped and in my house.....thats a decent enough price for my needs. And as far as 'tuning ammo'....my Glocks eat anything you feed them, like goats with dementia....:D
