well the title says it all....i been dying trying to find myself a 1911 long slide amt or another 1911 long variant....what would be the chances of actually being able to find one and if anyone could point me in the right direction it be appreciated

and yes i am aware of the amt's track record of having there issues im willing to look past it

.45 Longslide. Do you want it with laser sighting?
I would try a WTB ad in the EE. Reliable had one a while back that was going for around $500, not sure if it was the LS though.
Good luck on your search.

Hardballers are known gall pretty badly and simply won't last if you intend to shoot it.
Think of it this way, every time you shoot it, small chunks of the slide rails and slide are eroding off.
Unless you're strictly a collector, you can't simply "overlook these problems".

The LONG slide 7" pop up from time to time, not all that common. The Javelina seems to be more common (10mm version) but still hard to find. There was a 7" Hardballer with the factory comp (8" total barrel length!!!) that popped up last year back east. They are not common guns but the Javelina's I dealt with were well made and ran great YMMV :)

I had an AMT Hardballer Long Slide exactly like the one in the first Terminator movie... Cool looking but not that reliable...

well like i said i agree on the reliability aspect of the amt its more of a novelty piece to me...for a primary 1911 i probably go with a springfield TRP or a wilson combat
