What can you tell me about these?

I know it's a 1022 clone but how interchnageable are the internals?
I have read that the hammer is proprietary to get around the Ruger patent but all else internally will accept Ruger or aftermarket 1022 parts?

I have one, have had it for 20yrs but never shot it much or given it much thought.

Can you still get AMT parts? Is AMT still in business?

Any light to shed on the subject is welcome.

Thanks

Ruger won all of the lawsuits they filed against AMT, IIRC. I think that this rifle was part of the suits, the AMT copy of the Mark I Ruger definitely. AMT has been gone for a number of years, their last business name that I recall was Galena Enterprises.

I don't know how well Ruger parts interchange, or can be fitted, but AMT parts are long gone for these guns.

AMT is long gone but the parts are still around.

Numrich arms has a supply of AMT parts as well as there is a large company in the states that bought out the remaining AMT inventory of which there is still a decent supply.

Most of my research and inspection now indicates that all parts interchange with the 1022 except for the hammer which has subtly different geometry.
Everything else.....trigger, sear, bolt, firing pin, extractor, springs, barrel etc all appear to interchange.

Still working on definitive information though.
