An evening with Barney (TacticalTeacher)

Another East meets West Part 2? Perhaps Thomas could be persuaded to participate again? The first one was pretty epic and I would totally do it again.

I've got an acre of backyard, flat as a soccer field, perfect for campers, RV's.
Shop is wayyyyy better than the last location...
I can offer up my place for an event if folks are interested. . 5 n abit hours from vancouver, 9 from calgary.... West end of Canim lake for those who want to google.
Barney can contact me if he's interested.
Approved Range is 10 minutes from my door if that.

I know 2 or 3 guys in addition to myself that would be interested in an Edmonton (or area) workshop. . .

Ya know, I still have stories about that epic camp put on by 45acpking. :)

Here's some pics of those fond moments:

I am still in the process of confirming my venues across the country for my road trip this summer in August. So no promises yet but I do miss you guys out west.

Cheers, Barney.

Got a chance to test it out this afternoon. Shot a few groups at 100 and they all hung around the 1.25-2" mark with American Eagle 150grn FMJ that I had lying around. Have to see what it'll do when I get around to working up a load for it. But for a Chinese rifle that I have around $600 into total, I'm pleased. That'll do pig, that'll do. And I'm way out of practice.

Hmmmm...Canim Lake is a bit of a hike for me from Calgary, but to sit in the presence of TWO M14 gurus....I think you could count me in. Just try to pick the right weekend, okay guys?

If there is room for a #### disturber on that acre I'd be tempted to put the Bigfoot on the Ford and give you a glimpse of the guy behind the combative posts. With any luck I may have acquired all the parts for super duper match assembly. I might even drag the Trophy up there if there is time to drop a line.

Yeah, looking at that pic reminded me of how fuct the heat was. I would sweat my bag off all over again though, I had that much fun.

Ten degrees cooler would be nice... I think I'm still sunfckud from those range days.

I know one guy came all the way from Manitoba? Or was it Saskatchewan? The combined awesomeness of the presence of the two gurus can not be described. Should have sent a poet.

Haha, more than welcome ;) I got 2 140 lbs rottweillers if you get out of hand LOL

At that 4 day clinic we had guys from northern BC, vancouver island, alberta, manitoba, saskatchewan and Ontario(barney)
It was indeed an awesome time.

I'll offer up my place if it's needed/wanted, you all cover barney's travel and bring yer own food n stuff... We can shoot in an awesome 300 to near 800m massive flat clear cut a little ways away, I prefer it over the range and I use my quad for target changes ;) . Or maybe book the forest grove range(only 200yard ) maybe 5 minutes away from my place
It's an idea anyways. Early july to avoid the +30 temps.
I don't have any time coming up as I'm just signing a contract to run a major steel and machinery fabrication project for the next 3 or 4 months.

No pressure on barney, I'm kinda off the beaten path and I'm sure his schedule will be frantic as is.
