An Example of the Finnish P26 Mosin Nagant

Goodday fellow members,

Please find attached pics of my Finnish P26 Mosin Nagant.

Rifle has obviously seen some use but the barrel is free of pitting and the rifle is bright and strong.

Serial number on bolt matches the serial number on the receiver.

A great example of a rare Finnish Nagant.

Would this have been captured during the Winter War? Or did the Finns manufacture the Mosin Nagant themselves?

These were a Finnish refurbishment of Tsarist Russian Nagants they had in stock in the 1920s (starting 1925, into 1926 & 1927); you can tell the date by the number after the P, such as P-26.

Also, the P26 and P27 are built using relined barrels. Rare and collectible, hang on to that one

I have a Finn marked 1917 Remington made m1891 mosin with all imperial markings intact. SA mark on the left side of the receiver, numbers matching and has a small counter bore. it is one of 830,000 m1891s made by remington and one of only 113,000 of them that actually made it to Russia before they dropped out of the war
