Fews days back, a friend told me that my Canadian Tire was selling SKS's so today while shopping, i did go check it out. In the showcase, there's was like 10 sks, refurb with renumbered stock except 2 of them. The 2 SKS's had gold bayo so i asked the clerk to have a closer look. 1 is a Tula 1954, all matching including stock and the other is a 1956,no date, hardwood serie "K" None have refurb stamp and they have all the cartouche marking and metal is pristine except a scrath on the 1954 cover. Both stock have handling marks but at $199 each, how i could pass? So i told the clerk "i take both" Here's fews pics.

That is a really fine example of an original K Letter gun! One of those is the only one I could not find in the States. Searched for years.
All the K Letters in US seem to have a Laminated stock replacement. Very great find Sir.

I didn't know crappy tire sold rifles mine doesn't. But my little gun shop seems to carry everything that the big online stores carry except the svt-40 had to order that.

i cant wait for my ct to get more sks, mosin and svt-40 in this month, i may have to get another sks but i really want another svt-40 :) btw very nice rifles

Where the hell are you in Canada that CTC sells SKS rifles?? Mine has lots of 2% and Skim milk these days, and I need a brinks Guard to carry my ammo to the cash register, but no SKS rifles.

Seriously, where ARE YOU!?!?!

I love the colour of the original Shellac! I need an unissued SKS now... SKS' are horrible creatures... just horrible... You start with just 1 and say "it's cheap so why not?" Then you find another and say "it's cheap so one more wont hurt" Then you really start shelling out for collectors, shooters, certain years, blah blah blah then you add up the cost... SKS are not a cheap gun. Not in any sense of the word. Theyre a gateway gun, leading you to financial ruin while loving the party. Happily plunking down your money for just one more... V:I:

There are a few in Alberta... Calgary south, McLeod trail and Southland and one in Red Deer, the south also I think. UFA in Red Deer also has long guns!
