An offer I could not refuse... GSG .22 1911 conversion kit.

Well, I went to a local dealer (who is also an active member of our club, and a friend) today looking for something else (we were too far apart on that one); he had a used kit with 4 mags and we cut a deal. I have not shot it, but have fitted it to my Norinco. Tolerances on the Norinco were tight, and I could not get the slide release to insert all the way through. After a lot of polishing, it now is an easy fit. Everything else aligns, and the slide functions smoothly.

I'm targeting Wed. night at the range to give it a go!!

Also got a crap load of reloading supplies for .45 + about another 1500 brass!

Well, I tried it out last Wed. Accuracy was OK, but I only had lighter target ammo and had about 2 misfeeds out of every three mags. Today I bought some CCI Mini-mags and stingers, and the mini-mags were slightly more accurate, but both functioned perfectly. I had only one jam out of 150 rounds. I tried out all 4 mags, and they also functioned perfectly.

I may be offering this in the EE as I am doubtful that I will use it a lot. For someone that has a .45 and does not have a .22 or wants to practice a lot but not spend a lot, this would be perfect.
