An old Lee Enfield brought to life.

Thanks for the kind words. It was a project I had in mind for quite sometime just never had the time to spend.

The old roll over stock was one of those with the huge pistol grip and massive comb. Slimmed it down so it fit nicely with a low mounted scope and reduced the pistol grip and added a pistol grip cap. The Jostam recoil pad came with it and I shaped it along with the buttstock. The forend is original wood reshaped to blend with the stock.

The scope base was a puzzle in the beginning as I couldn't find a proper base so I searched the rack at Cabelas and found one I could dress down and drill the holes to fit the holes already drilled in the gun with the aid of calipers. I prefer a scope as close down as possible so getting the correct height and exact fit for the base I set the outfit up in the vise with my boresight in the muzzle. Returned the scope back to neutral setting and on off and few times until everything fit and lined up.

At first I was reluctent to remove the sights as the rear one is numbered to the gun but I was careful in removing them in case for whatever reason they needed to go back on. I enjoyed the project and will enjoy shooting and hunting with the gun.
