An old Mini Mauser in .222 Rem Mag

My thinking was based on the timelines for .222 Rem Mag. I thought it was discontinued in the 60’s. I could be wrong as I did not look into it in detail.

I think he might be off by a few decades. Numerous places list the m70 being introduced in 1970 and the mini85 in 1985. Don’t think that action existed in the 60’s.
scope fits 80’s-90’s as well.

I’m sure an inquiry with fanzoj would tell him.
Makes sense, 222Mag rifles were still being made in Europe 70's and 80's, Sako, Steyr, BRNO, Cooper in the US may still make them, good cartridge.

I was thinking 70s for the Interarms Mark X version, but the gun looks 90s to me. Amazing amount of money spent on a Zastava action.

It is pretty wild, and nothing Mauser about them...more a half ass Sako Vixen clone.
Not like the BRNO/CZ that at least have CRF, claw extractor, bullet proof action.
Wheh lol

I did not know .222 Rem Mag is still a factory offering by Sako. Thanks for the suggestions, I will do that to get an idea about the dom.
Well according to my research, they stopped building rifles in that calibre after the .223 was more widely adopted (even though they are almost the same bullet). I think my Sako Vixen was made in 1960 and it has been a challenge to find ammo for it. I guess that’s why my FiL started reloading it. I know Nosler makes some although they are like $2.30 a round.

I’m talking about ammo not physical guns

Thankfully the 204Ruger uses the same case so brass is easy.
