Has anyone ever owned or shot one of these old guys, I just purchased one for plinkin around at the range and as a conversation piece. There not worth a whole bunch buy look pretty neat and for 1949 seem to have some nice craftsmanship.
Do not no how it will work but I hear there don't shoot that bad, there Were built for the shooting teams in the 1949 Olimpics. Well how I guess we will see.

i've got a 948- looks like a 22 built on a 380 1934 frame- don't know if they're related, but it shoots well for a 3.5 inch bbl- it's a little fussy on what ammo you feed it however-mine was made in 51- news flash - they re related- mine is simply a short version with fixed sights, standard grips and shorter barrel- i thought they would be close- it's a super simple single action- take out the mag to pull the barrel, then the slide slides forward off the frame- you should like it
