60 years ago this belonged to the wife of a very prominent citizen.

If you happened to spot this little change purse peeking out of her purse, it would attract no notice.

I know nothing about the little purse/holster. From a bygone era.

Used to see smaller versions with the Belgian Velo Dog or Puppies from late 1890's. Interesting pieces for sure

my dad and I had 3 of them and I had the paperwork on the purses from colt

most were not made by colt but sold by a lot of dealers and colt sent along the advertisements from the maker

I have had a few of the guns , never seen the purse. There was a colt 25 on the last sale , good, but not up to that one, went to L.V.,Na.
The baby browning is smaller, not as old, I had a browning book with one in , bound in leather with a little snap lock, kind of like a diary.

back in the early 80’s the purse was 200 Canadian and the pistol 300 Canadian in minty condition

found the paperwork at the all colt show in Vegas in 88 and paid 100 USA for 18 sheets of paper

sold the paperwork to a USA collector in the late 1990’s for a 2 grand with 2 purses and the paper no guns
as they were sold years before the prohib legislation

My great Gramma carried a British Bulldog short barreled revolver in 455 in her handbag back in the day...she routinely carried the bakery deposits back/forth so Grampa insisted she carry :)

Thats a sweet piece of history......

Heres another example of the purse guns..I mentioned this in an earlier post and thought you may want to see it. Chambered in 320Rev and the purse was like new. RCMP refused to classify as antique because of lack of positive markings denoting date . Still trying to post image....grrr
