AN SKS for $75.

This is where i got my SKS from. Everything went down exactly as expected. Service from Marstar could not be better and neither could the product. Gun was exactly as described. Ammo was as described and through 400 rounds so far without a misfire.

Just make sure to clean the gun well after firing. That corrosive ammo really brings on the rust fast.

MARSTAR accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Money orders, bank drafts....

John

Just curious why you cant accept email money transfers?

They are hosted by interac (the same company that owns your bank card)

In my opinion they are safer that the other electronic methods of payment (No credit card #'s to misplace or be stolen by disgrunteled employee's etc.)

Finally they cost the customer less ($1.50 service fee from my bank) which in these hard times is a selling point.

I know there is lots of product that I would be happy to purchase from Marstar but will not because I dont feel comfortable with the alternative methods.

At one point people weren't comfortable with the idea of debit cards now look how far we have come. An internet based business with no store front should be willing to take peoples money how ever they want to give it.

got the guns yesterday, and the ammo the day before. Thanks Marstar! Great service along with nice products and pricing that match. Hope to deal with your business again in the future.

Bought one for a friend who expressed interest in getting back in to shooting as it reminded him a lot of his good times out with his father.

Had fun spending hours helping him clean out all the cosmoline. Great quality rifle for an unbeatable price. Can't wait to get my own!

75.00 SKS Awesome

I received my SKS, 3 days ago, and I have to be honest, based on the pictures on marstars website. I thought I was settling, I could not wait any longer for the M14 so I purchased this 75.00 deal and ammo. When I opened the box and removed the SKS, I was in shock, it was one of the most beautiful rifle I have ever seen. I want to take it to the range so badly. I have one question for JohnJ. have these been cleaned already or do they require extensive cleaning, I have completely stripped both the C7 and C1 many times before (retired military) but the sks looks a lot harder to strip and alot more parts. any advise out there.

John thanks the rifle is gorgeous.

it may seem intimidating but the rifle is incredibly easy to strip, breaks down in under a minute once you have done it a couple times.

you will definitely want to clean it well every time you run that ammo through it.

here's a youtube clip, didn't watch the whole thing but this guy seems to have it down:

YES! You must clean it very well. You will most likely need to unpin the bolt to clean the firing pin area or it WILL SLAM FIRE. be sure to test the firing pin before you load any ammo. the other "problem spot" seems to be the gas tube and piston. You'll have to sweat it all out of the wood or else you'll have some very greasy hands when you take it to the range on a nice day. Some people tie it up on a hot summer day, some put it in a metal bin and shine a hot light on it, others bake it in the oven. I used a heat gun.

Don't be intimidated, it takes a bit of time, but most people find it fun. I had an enjoyable evening and look forward to cleaning my own SKS in the future.

If you plan on firing non-surplus ammo you should really consider getting Murray's firing pin for added safety. $39 and he'll ship to Canada (or Brownells has them). The second popular "upgrade" is sending the trigger to a gunsmith. There is a fellow in Texas that goes by the handle "Kivaari" that made a good name for himself doing SKS trigger jobs. I haven't heard of any Canadians having trouble with customs sending their triggers down.
