Did anyone catch the prices of the anaconda's that recently sold on the EE? I'm mostly curious about the one that was nib.

Man, I remember seeing the python and anaconda, in the LeBaron's catalogue when I was a kid. Looks like they've gone up in value a wee bit since then.

you mean like this:

Thanks for that, it was sold by the time I saw it and wondered if I could have been in the running to have bought it. Definitely not cheap but you just don't see that kind of a complete package in that condition come up very often (or ever for that matter).

3650 I believe. Listed anyway

Lol! There it is! That catalogue used to be the best.

Not a lebarons catalog but reflects the prices when new. Those are Gun Digests. I grew up reading them and they gave me a pretty broad appreciation for firearms, which is a bit of a curse these days...

I'm in the market for an Anaconda as well. I want something in good condition, but I plan on shooting it. It seems like they are fetching more than Pythons now!

I wonder if that trend will continue over time given the fact that there were fewer Anaconda's made? For this one specifically it was nib and a complete package which put it into a higher price range then a typical anaconda that you would see for sale with no box or papers.

Hmmm, maybe it's time to think about selling mine, with so many Wanters available...heh heh.....8", EX+ condition with box and papers, AND! the correct Burris base and Leupold scope on it that the Hunter had. No Haliburton box, but still.....Now taking offers! ;-)

Sweet TC! That would be the one I'd want - an 8 incher. Too rich for my blood right now, but I can dream.

I hear ya.....I wanted one for quite a while befor this all came about. Originally got a nice 6", that another member here wanted to trade for his 8", so I said sure why not....and there she is! I can honestly say I haven't shot it yet, and probably won't. I have a S&W 629 (just like the one you sold, you crazy man!) and a 29-2 that get shot and I like em just fine, and I don't worry about resale so much heh heh.....

Don't tease us! ..... PM your price if you have one ;)

I've seen your pics and they are beautiful! I don't think I could afford to break up the family :) I expect to be able to find one under $3000 in excellent condition if I am patient!

This is one of those 'make me an offer I can't refuse' guns, never considered really selling it as it's part of the family. You may have seen the family pic over on the Snake thread, page 70, post #695.....
