I finally got a good looking set of grips WITHOUT finger grooves for my L-frame. They are Hogue laminated Rosewood without finger grooves or checkering. I'm going to have to get some more sets for my other wheelguns now when funds become available!

A lot of 1911 grips are laminated these days. It's just hard to see with all the checkering.

Wilson Combat have a realy sweet looking Black Diamond wood 1911 grip that is a laminate. Looks great on my stainless S&W1911, but it should look good on a blued model too.
