Hey, I just got back from shooting some paper - the weather has been so crappy its seems like an eternity since I pulled the trigger:(
Anyway, I just shot my best five shot grouping ever:D
I did some load development for a FACTORY rifle I recently purchased off of Gunnutz. The results - .177" @ 105 yrds.
The three other loads where under .300"
Needless to say I was very impressed:eek:
Here is where it will get interesting:D
I would like some opinions on what FACTORY rifle and caliber could produce these kind of results?
Thanks

Stevens 200 in .223 rem!
Well so far not able to get into the ones but 1/4 MOA.

The group on the right would have looked identical to the left had it not been for me pulling the last shot. So far thats the best I can do with it.

No winner yet!

NO to both Mlehtovaara, nice groups though:)
What is the load used to obtain that grouping?

No to

Savage .308, nice try Icedragonmx
Do you have the above rifle?
If so, what is your best grouping with what laod?
Thanks

Best was .238moa at 100 yards if I remember right. Sub .5 at 539 yards and I so need to work on my 1025 yard game(1.2moa) Using factory 168 gr FGMM or 175 gr FGMM at the long distance stuff(1000+) I still need to learn to shoot to my full potential yet too;)
My Rifle is a Savage Precision Carbine. Any rifle that shoots as good as the groups you got is a keeper!:D

Too bad leaving....[edit]....derogatory posts doesnt bring the same satisfaction as shooting those groups either eh.

The satisfaction comes when you outshoot guys with rigs costing 2 and 4 x's the price of yours! Some people are just jealous! Thanks for your....[edit]....comment though.

Neither make or caliber has been correctly identified on Day 1:p
My guess is the caliber will be identified before the make;) - that is my hint of the day:)
So, no to the Cooper 243 although shooting paper with that would be sweet!
CyaN1de's two guesses are.......incorrect:p

As much as I love Savage/Stevens, I would go TIKKA if I had to choose a factory rifle and not be able to do anything to it.

I have seen some amazing performance from several of these rifles and am very impressed.

Not saying that's what you shot but that is my choice for an all factory rig to use in comp.

Savage (F-Class or Benchrest) in 6BR?

I could see this rifle printing those groups.
Some of them shoot like a house on fire while some others shoot like a bag of ass.
Luck of the draw with these I guess
