Animal rights activist ....

Now that is funny, I guess if your an animal lover you are an animal lover. The secret to that message is to not follow it if that is not what you believe, if it is then what do I care, affects me in no way.

She is right in one regard the lowly mosquito is very important in the food chain, lots of other animals depend on the mosquito for food. I for one will do everything I can not to be bitten but each to there own.

Wait - it's a win-win deal. You give mommy Skeeter a teeny, tiny drop of your blood - you have lots to spare, anyways - and on top of her eternal gratitude, she may give you a gorgeous little West Nile virus as a token of her appreciation.

Someone should take this lady to northern Canada for a couple of days, so she can make some donations. :)

Yep - I worked at a little mine in NW ON, up in the muskeg. The bunkhouses were ATCO trailers, and at night, I had to keep a radio playing, because the noise from the skeeters in the screen would drive me bonkers. Take her there for a few evenings.

Oh god yes! I used to live in Parry Sound when I was little and go fishing with dad up the French river for 5-7 days, the mosquitos were something else when the sun went down... Was traveling through Manitoba one summer and stopped to have a stretch, the mosquitos were like small birds and got me through my jeans. Horrible creatures.
