By looking at the Maritime Shotgun Shoot schedule, I am able to see that there are a few clubs hosting sporting clay tournaments in or close to the Annapolis Valley.......Kentville, Lunenburg, Yarmouth ,Weymouth and Fox Harbour. The summer weekend shoot schedule looks pretty busy. I am so far unable to find out which clubs offer the most opportunities for mid week or weekend practice on 5 stand or regular sporting fields. I am hoping that perhaps a couple of addicted sporting shooters from the Annapolis Valley will read this post and be willing to share where and when they shoot non tournament practice sporting targets.

We built a new course at Lunenburg Club in the spring that’s been well received. Practice is 1000 on Saturdays with pre registration required.

Skeet and trap Tuesday’s with four and six o’clock start times with pre registration.

Pre registration is to allow us to manage Covid guidelines.

Non member cost is $10.00 per 25 targets. The course is set up that you can pre pay for 50, 75 or 100 targets. Club membership prorated for the remainder of 2020 will run you about $60.00 with members paying $5.00 per 25 targets.

Had 32 shooters out last week.

Most stations are to the left off an old logging road.

While I'm a member of AVVSC I don't shoot skeet. But they do got a advance skeet/trap field. They got 2 days a week that they can practice. Wed/Sunday. But someone probably could run any day ( believe they said they got a manual machine ) They will host a event and get 150 + shooters, and setup temporary launchers.

They do allow guest, so a member can sign you in. But that member has to watch you.

A bit further away, Nova Sporting Clays between Elmsdale and Stewiacke is open Thursdays 3-7 and Sundays 9- last squad out at 12:30. Other days and times may be possible by appointment.

We have 14 stations, all with two machines and LongRange TargetTag.

Visitors are always welcome. $15 daily access fee and $0.40 per target. 12 and 20ga ammo for $8 a box. Gun rental can be arranged. All prices are HST in.

Check our website at www.novasportingclays.com for more info.
