Annealing Machine question

Maynard meet me at EESA over the winter I will anneal your brass not cleaning your primer pockets though;) You can be the brass feeding #####!

DG, sounds like a plan. How long would it take to run a 1000 pieces or so of .308 brass. What it this cleaning of primer pockets that you speak of?
I assume the brass should be deprimed and at least cleaned before anealing? Looks like I will have to start rounding up my brass, buy another universal depriming die and fire up the ultra sonic cleaner.

By the time you get raped and pillaged by Canada Post for sending your 20+ pounds of brass somewhere and back, plus the fuel surcharge, buying your own unit starts to make sense.

I have shot competitively for over 20 years reloaded for 25 years and never anealed a case in my life. I have enough brass that it only gets loaded and fired once or maybe twice a year. So it isn't like I am trying to get the most life out of 100 cases like some BR shooters do. With the brass that I have on hand and thinking it would only have to be anealed every 3rd of 4th time being reloaded, I would only need to fire up the anealing machine about once every 12 years.
Now on the other hand, I have a CNC machine and could start making anealing machines if I could find the time.

It will take about 30 -40 min to do 1000. The brass should be clean!

The primer pocket was a comment about you sometimes don't bother cleaning them;)

You will need to sacrafice a few for set up! What kind of brass? I might have some sacrificial ones.

I am looking at making an induction heater to do it.
seems like it is the most effecient, precise and safest way to do it.
I just have a little electronics learning to do.

Would you have a copy of MasterCAM and a description of the machine and the cutters that are on hand?

I'm thinking automatic case feed would be a nice option...

MasterCam with a Yang SMV 1000 Vertical machining centre, 40"X, 20"Y, 20"Z. More cutters than you can imagine.
