Annealing nickel plated vs non-nickel plated cases.

May be a dumb question. Just wondering if there is a difference between the two. Should nickel plated cases even be annealed?

Nickle plated brass will oxidize and eventually flake off I don't think annealing nickel plated brass is a good idea. Could damage your dies when it flakes off. My 2 cents.

Probably discolour the nickle but I would probably still go ahead. I've found it to be more brittle and prone to cracking than plain brass. I've had the plating wear through but never noticed it actually flake off of any cases.

Most of my experience with nickled brass has been plentiful pistol stuff though and I generally just use it til it cracks and toss it.
