Annealing on factory brass

I just opened a new box of Lapua .308 brass, and immediately noticed the prominent marking from annealing. This box is way more obvious then previous lots. Will this be an issue?

not an issue, it has been tumbled (cleaned) at the factory after annealing and removed some of the colouring already. Your last batch was probably just tumbled a little longer. I always tumble after annealing and if I leave it in overnight it looks even paler than yours

I never tumble annealed brass, It's too pretty with the 2-tone colours

Commercial brass usually gets a chemical wash after annealing to remove those colours. This batch slipped through. It will perform exactly the same.

All Lapua brass looks like yours, best brass you can buy. Military Lake City looks identical to Lapua and its very good as well

I don't clean my brass after annealing, I like that look.

It takes some time and effort to replace that freshly annealed look, however .... Lapua brass deserves the love!.
Have some 6.5x55 here with over 20 full power reloads, annealed 5 or 6 times, and still going strong.

Privi Partizan looks the same way becase they scrimp on the tumbling. Its just discoloring nothing more.
