I'm looking at C.I.L 171 from an estate sale and I have had difficulty finding any info on the 171. I have to make an offer on the gun without seeing it other than the one picture that they faxed to me..It won't be much..

But any info on the 171 would be great.

thanks

(after more reasearch the only info I can find is the cil 171 is supposed to be a remington this gun however is marked Anschutz )

The CIL 171 is actually a knockoff of the Remington 500 series rimfires, and was built in Brazil. Are you sure your 171 is marked Anschutz? The CIL rifles that were actually Anschutz built were the 180, 190 and 310, plus one or two others. The 171 was a different rifle entirely. Regards, Eagleye.

thanks for the help, the information was in the written discription of the rifle, It clearly described the rifle as an Anschutz C.I.L 171. The picture was surely an Anschutz but they must have buggered the model number. If i remember the rifle has a scope on it which would partially cover the model number...

btw I have an Anschutz CIL 125 just one more for you memory.:)
