Announcing: Stag Arms Stag-10 CDN Rifle - 6.5CM - Non-Restricted Canada

I called in and asked where things were at. I was told last week that the orders were waiting export permit. They said they are waiting on a few things from Stag and hope to have an announcement this week. I was told that right now there are still things being finalised.

Every time I talk to them I feel like they are working on this but waiting for info as well. Walter has been great to deal with. I'm 100% sure they will come and that they don't want to make any promises until they know what they can honour.

Fingers crossed for update on here this week.

The stag 10 receiver set is a large frame rifle. They are made for the 308 case family. The magazine well is also larger. And as far as I can tell there is no bcg or bolt with a 223 bolt face that will fit an ar308 pattern rifle. To make a 223 version it would be a completely different rifle. Atrs and mdi are making nr 223 versions.

To updates the past week, when the US State Dept kicks back a license twice, and is slow during the summer, it is hard to give precise updates that are outside of our, or Stag Arms control. Giving approx dates because they are being demanded on the forum, then having those dates not happen because of something outside our control (like the State Dept requesting that our PO have a logo on it!) causes great anguish for some, and is best avoided. There is a lot that goes into exporting/importing firearms and demanding a date when there isn't one doesn't mean that the manufacturer/exporter/importer aren't doing everything in their power to make things happen. No one has any reason to try and slow down business. Also, our usual CGN Updater was out of the office for a week. It's summertime and people take holiday. Emails and phone calls were answered and returned, so it isn't that we were being quiet, but the answer was, we were waiting on news. That news was the license, which as said, was issued yesterday.

We have bolt carrier groups and charging handles in stock and shipping daily. The other parts, springs and buffers, etc, have already shipped from Stag Arms and will also be here next week.
