Another 111FCXP thread!! Just what we need.

Since a lot of folks were looking at the 111FCXP package deals at WSS I figured I would give prospective buyers some incentive and show folks who miss out on the deal a little rub...

First off...
Ok I lied, I said in another thread I wouldn't post a group with my new rifle for at least 50 rounds.... Here are shots #28,29,30,31,32

#28,29,30 were left so I gave it a few clicks and fired #31,32 and blew my plate off the tripod, sun was low and my range faces south so it makes for a squinty experience come afternoon so this is where I stopped.

Ammo is 300 Winchester Magnum CXP3 gray box cheap Winchester Walmart fodder, let's play "guess the distance"... More later.

Not bad for an out of the box bargain rifle eh?

Mine shoots great in 30.06. My buddy bought a Weatherby Vanguard (Howa really) in 7mm Mag at the same time as I bought this rifle and he was pulling his hair out trying to get it to group while my Savage kept shooting sub MOA groups with Remington Core Lokt 150's and that with the cheap Simmonds scope it comes with. I love the detachable mag and the fact I don't have to worry about it like my much better quality rifles which can now live in the safe.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's hard to beat a Savage.
