I will add some pictures in here soon.
So I've always been leary of the Norcs, hear the horror stories, see the pictures of the piss poor fit and finish etc. Well when Marstar announced they were bringing some in, and they were higher quality then anything brought in before I started considering it. Then I read guys opinions on some they bought. Well on an impulse buy I ordered one, thinking worst that could happen was I could recoup a good chunk of my money on the EE, and write the rest off as a learning experience. Well, that's not happening.
Got this thing Friday, first thing I did was strip it and clean it before I really even looked at it. Once I got it clean I started going over it. No tool tool marks, good park job, only markings are M305, 7.62, Serial Number. Look at the flash hider and front site. Dead perfect straight. So greased it, oiled it and set it aside until this afternoon. Picked up a box of Federal blue box 150's and headed to the back yard. First went for a 50 yard zero. Kneeling position, 5 shots, little over an inch, right where I want them to be (Iron sites I use a 6'o'clock hold, blade right under what I want to hit). Had a "God Damn" moment. Better than I expected (more so out of me than the rifle, it's been a long week, and turkey coma).
Well, took it a little further, borrowed a "decorative" pumpkin, took it out to 300ish. Just for fun. Ball parked the elevation settings on the sight, 3rd shot, pumpkin pie.
This thing has potential.
