The Warne QD rings work fine for much less cost than the Alaska Arms rings... although the Alaska's are a more substantial ring. I just use the Ruger rings and remove with a flathead or Leatherman. The ONLY time a scope is coming off during a hunt is if the scope gets damaged, in which case, I am not worried about "return to zero" in the field... I can rezero back at the range when I replace the scope... however, I have tested the POI on scope dismount/remount many times and it is dang close if you get the torque right on remounting.

i learnt the bad way with warne. maybe a problem due to lh rifle. they changed two times the rings and gave me all spare i needed but lessons learnt for me ... now for the ruger rings i used and still a mossberg choke wrench key the easiest to remove and re-tight if needed ruger rings.
yes alaska arms rings are not cheap but i have no more to worry about something wrong on the rings which is important like for you when you are away from home on a river trip.
Out of all the hunts I have been on with this rifle, there has only been one time it would have been nice to pop the scope off. Going into thick nasty slide alder after a bear. There were no surprises so it all worked out. And, I had all the time in the world to take the factory Ruger mounts off if I really wanted to.... Mabey a Cape Buffalo hunt could be a different story!
Scott the Ring release Levers can be mounted on EITHER side lh or rh ! The only REASON for mounting then on the rh side (outboard) is so they don't catch on clothing or your pack ! RJ
Well after seeing 7Mag’s post he inspired me to get another 375 Ruger. So here it is. Sitting in a B&C stock with Alaska Arms rings with a VX3 2.5-8 glass. Don’t really need it here in Ontario, but hey what the hell. Now having to buy factory ammo to get the brass stinks, but you have to pay to play I guess. Thanks 7Mag!

It's great that the B&C stocks will fit, as McMillan is not making Ruger stocks anymore the B&C option provides an aftermarket stock for those that aren't a fan of the Hogue or the plywood versions. Plus less expensive than Mcmillan. I would for sure do a sturdy and snug bedding job with the B&B stocks so they fit well and don't move under recoil.

I like the look of those B&C stocks, what's the price on them? I wouldn't mind replacing my rubber hogue stock on my Alaskan and that seems to be one of the very few options available.
Prophet River Firearms. Looks like they have another one in stock! $429 I believe plust ship/tax. Like I say, its a huge upgrade. Like Gatehouse said though, have it bedded, as you should on all rifles anyway! It will feel like a new gun!
Hey 7mag, I ordered it from Tanner at Prophet River. I placed the order and a few days later they happen to have a restock order arrive so that's where mine came from.
Yup original finish, I took the pic in my kitchen and it has lots of windows so maybe the extra light from that make it seem brighter.

My last 375 Ruger wore a McMillan stock, it was nice, but this one works well too. I am definitely going to bed it one of these days. Going to try and get some Devcon and do it.

Nice guns guys! Anyone put a B&C stock on a Howa 1500 in 375 Ruger? Mine still has the rubber moulded factory stock and has been sitting in the safe since 2018. 250TTSX worked wonders on a Buffalo hunt in Montana. Didn’t want to spoil any meat so I shot him in the head.

Well since grizz has been done in BC, my 375 Ruger Alaskan has collected a pile of dust. Time to bring it back alive! Unfortunately I missed the bus on a McMillan stock as I hear they no longer make them for Ruger.. My plan was to put an HS Precision stock on it but apparently they are back ordered. I did however find a B&C stock that should fit it. Its in the mail. Im not a big fan of them but options are limited. Cant stand the stock it came with. Any one have any experience with B&C on a Ruger Hawkeye????
Next question is QD rings. I have been happy with the factory Ruger rings, but I see no point as the rifle has sights. Chances of me ever having to take the scope off are slim, but would like to have that option. I will keep the scope I have on it- 2.5-8x36 vx3. What is the best QD ring set up for my application?

Frankly, make sure that you have a quarter in your pocket. Voila...Ruger Rings turn into QD rings. Sure, not as fast as other setups, but fast enough. When I was gearing up to go to Zimbabwe I bought a second 1.5-5x Leupold and another set of Ruger rings to put on my 416 Rigby M77 RSM. Fast enough for me if one scope decided to take an unlikely dump.

Drop in fit, I have three B&C stocks for Vanguards, they fit the series 1 and 2 s. I like the raised Weatherby style comb but they also list a flatter american sporter style butt. as well as a couple of other styles. I got the last one from Prophet River in red and black.
I got a B&C for my CZ 375 from Prophet River. Very nice.
