Another 375 Ruger Thread

Same, 250gr TTSX. I’d like to try the 250gr GMX (or probably the CX now) but they were so expensive compared to the TTSX, I can only imagine now.

CX 250gr should be around $80 per 50

I haven't looked at the prices recently but at the time it was around $50 for the TTSX and $80 for the GMX.

Did you ever bullet test the 270gr tsx? I have only killed with the 250gr ttsx with no bullet recovery. I have a bunch of 270 tsx that shoot great....

I think those were Wholesales Sport prices at the time. After doing my .375 test, the GMX looked so good that I wanted to give them a try. But at close to double the price I couldn't justify it since the TTSX had worked so good. If they become close to the same price I'll definitely try the new CX.

For sure, but if they’re anything like the GMX with acceptable accuracy of course.

250 gr gmx out of a 375 Ruger @ 200 yards or so. Double shoulder shot on a bull moose and found on the off side. Bull dropped like a sack of potatoes.

Shot a deer and a couple of black bear with the 270 TSX. They killed quick but there is no doubt they are designed for heavier animals. I use the 250 TTSX for hunting now but I still have some 260 and 300 NAB which also kill well.

I’ve recovered a few 270 tsx but it took some serious eland and sable meat to stop them. I tried the 250 TTSX but the plastic tips ended up breaking off in the mag well due to recoil.

Proprietary rings for Ruger. So while you could use others, they would have to work with the stepped height front/back. Suppose someone makes ruger rings? But QD ruger rings. Paging Hoyt.

There is no replacement for displacement.Frontal diameter knocks stuff down!.Those big Barnes or Gmx dont ruin meat .My experience with elk and moose is you can eat up to the bullet hole, blood shock is minimal .

Well the stock sure came fast! Not like Canada Post these days! The B&C actually fits really nice! Im surprised.... It will still get bedded as do all my rifles. Weight without a scope is 7lbs 11oz as pictured. Havnt decided on rings yet. Might just keep the Ruger ones, not sure... It feels like a totally different rifle.. Much happier! It will kill a moose this year..

I think thats the plan Jim. I just have to get past the point that the release levers are on the right hand side. Doesnt look right.
