Well I am the lucky buyer of the Tikka T3 lite in 6.5X55 from the exchange! That makes it #3 for me in that caliber, I must be a little nutty!!! I have my dad's sporterized M38, and am keeping a Ruger MKII and now this Tikka for my teenage daughters (BUM, no comments on my girls!).

What can I say, I love the Swede!

You're not alone... I have a Tikka 695 stainless/synthetic and a Rem 700 Classic in 6.5x55mm as well as a 1941 mfg Swede M38. Still, was looking at a sporter M38 with bases and low scope safety installed in a Ramline stock for sale at the local gunshop last Friday. Passed but it was picked up by another CGN'er on Sunday.

Great rifes and a great ctg.... You did well on it & it should be a great shooter... ;)

That was me. :D

Thank you for passing on it, as it's making my hunting trip possible. :)

I'm thinking of reducing my rifle collection down to just 6.5x55 rifles.
Incredible cartridge IMHO.

I have been a die hard 6.5 fan all my life, my biggest problem is no one makes one left handed and it's really hard to find a left hand action, I have had 6
M38 some original some sportized all shot about 1 inch groups with sierra game king 140gr boat tails. One moose 1134lbs dressed at 283yds the moose went 41 yds and dropped, put the rifle away and out came a 40oz of OFC

O F C , Oldest Finest Canadian or as my grandfather says, only for catholics,
as for buying a left handed 6.5 I don't like the T3 I have a Ruger 77 mkII left hand 270win I guess that was the closest thing to a 6.5 that I could find

All the gun shops around here won't order anything unless you pay for it up front, I have used the 77 in the past and liked them alot, all the T3 I have seen just had too much plastic for me, and that's all the gun shops had on the shelf around here, call me old fashion I like wood, I hate those plastic mags, plus the Ruger was cheaper. There is nothing wrong with a 6.5x55 to anything in North America, except grizzlys and polar bears
