I had to do it, this 629 came into the Accuracy Plus in PTBO last week and I immediately dropped a dime on it. I have had several 29's and 629's over the years and I sold them all at one time or another and immediately regretted it.
What is it about a 44 Mag that makes it a "must have"?
I can't wait to get this pistol home and work up some "hostile bear loads";)

Next time your into Peterborough go out to Accuracy Plus show them your Restricted PAL and get them to open the pistol safe for you, quite impressive indeed! they are adding another 50 new handguns to these in the next few weeks!

Your 629 looks good and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. What else do you have in the way of handguns?
I have something similar, although a little older vintage. A 4" model 29 with factory ivory. I shoot primarily cast loads, what do you have in mind for yours?

I have a bunch of pistols that are deactivated for Instruction and Testing of course and some that should not be like a Model 10 set up for PPC, a late model Black Hawk and a S&W 41 Target pistol. These pistols get a lot of abuse from students but that is the price you pay for instructing.
I have a really nice Colt Python and a 1991 A1 that is all done, these pistols get the most use at the range. I shoot a Hammerli Xess Target pistol for the gallery. I have nothing in a 9mm right now but there is a nice Para in 40Cal that has my eye.
I like to trade my handguns and don't hang on to them long... to my own dismay.
I normally shoot lead bullets with bullseye at the range but I practice a lot with full house loads as well... you can't be too careful when your carrying pails of bait.

Hey BIGREDD, that a nice looking 629 you got there. :) Thanks for the picture of their vault...that's fantastic! I had no idea how many handguns they usually have. I wish their webpage had pictures on it...they get some great stuff and usually sell at good prices.
