Sorry to do this but I have to ask as I don't know enough about this one...

Can you tell me the approx value of a Remington 700 BDL in 338 mag wearing a leupold 3x9x50...

I haven't seen the gun yet and it's a bit of a drive to go take a look so i'm just looking for some numbers before I make the venture. I'm told it's about 15 - 20 years old but in mint shape, less than 10 rounds thru it, no marks. No idea what the scope model is just that it's a leupold 3x9x50.. The fella who has it is older and can't send me pics or anymore info but i'm told it's mint... What is a good value on it??

Thanks, much, DL

EDIT :::::::

The scope is a Baush and Laumb 3x9x40 if that changes anything? Both gun and scope are in mint shape..

Thanks for the input so far fella's

action $500
Bottom metal, box mag, spring ,follower $100
Trigger $50
Barrel $50
Stock $50
Rings bases $50
Scope $250-$300 if it was a leupold.

I am pretty close on my prices..

At the shows I go to..

Used Blue 700 BDL wood stocked and in excellent condition - would sell anywhere from $500 to $600 .

Used 3 x 9 - 50mm scope maybe $300 tops, more like $225-250.

They may be worth more but you will see them sit show after show at much higher prices...

I'm gonna dig thru the garage tonite,..I may be able to take another week off to hunt this year on those prices....;)

Is your Sendero still in one piece?

Sendero, gone..I am not way off on the prices for the parts though..if you have a bottom metal for LA Rem I will give you $25 for it.

Went and saw and shot the gun today, two marks on the stock but other than that mint shape. Barrel and action looked to be in like new condition. First time shooting the 338 win mag..... I like it much !! Very nice handling and looking firearm IMO...

As an aside, I wish I had the m700 338WM that my dad used to have. It was a Classic with the barrel cut down to 21" and 1.5" cut off the forend tip. Looked like a Model 7 on 'roids!
