Another AR style .22

Well there is no real point in us arguing when we are both on the same side of the issue. Suffice to say that the classification system needs significant improvement and proper oversight. It is definitely clear that the goal of the RCMP firearms classification group is to use whatever means they can to restrict or prohib as many new incoming firearms as they possibly can. And that is wrong. We all agree on that.

Agreed.. we all know the whole firearms program is a mess... let alone the classification dept... Seriously lacking common sense down there!

It would be great if Badger would reply to this thread that he started and possibly help clear this up.... From the other thread it is plain to see that other dealers have already sold these as non-restricted (completed transfers and everything) and are selling for over $100 less than the price Badger is quoting...

go to the mossberg website for a closer view. Unlike the M&P22, the upper and lower are one piece, even the pistol grip is part of the whole receiver. If they make this restricted they are complete idiots.

Maybe enough people in this country will get annoyed enough to make some changes to our laws. Having a longarm rimfire as a restricted firearm is just rediculous or a pellet (BB) rifle or handgun being classed as a firearm is just obtuse. The word "firearm" contains the word "fire". There is no fire or explosive combustion in a BB or pellet gun.
With that being said, I love the new rimfires coming out on the market but it isn't for me since I cannot just keep using it at the range. Instead I would have to hunt with it or shoot it at a gravel pit somewhere so I will have to stick to the non-restricted class.

in the new SIR/Cabellas cataloge there advertising it for 269.99 for both fixed stock and Adj. stocked versions.

are the dealers going to match?
