Fyrefighter said it all here, really...

But I'll add a few observations on mine.
I bought a standard grade one. Bluing wear on the edges, from holster I guess. Not pristine, but not bad either.
When I field stripped it (which was surprisingly easy) there seemed to be very little internal wear, so yeah, carried lots, shot seldom.
It came with one original mag, "dimpled" to limit it to 10 rounds. I bought a couple of ProMag 10 rd magazines- they do have the cutout for the S magazine release but I haven't tried them out yet.
I found I really liked the way the pistol fit my hand (yeah, should have really checked BEFORE I bought it). Heavier than a plastic gun, but not uncomfortable.
I put a few magazine's worth down range, and everything functioned well. It seemed to be shooting to my point of aim, but I was testing for function, not accuracy, so the target was pretty close.
Unlike Fyrefighter's experience, it seems to be taking me a while to get used to the location of the magazine release, but I'm sure that will come with time.
So all in all, I really like it. Looking forward to putting more rounds through it.
I think the 92S is a really good value for someone who wants Beretta goodness, can live with the heel magazine release, and is looking to save a few $$.
