another best 9mm thread

Where is the P226?

"The guns must be great shooters, reliable, good quality, and cost less than $550 USD new from a gun dealer. The $550 rule will exclude many fine 9mm pistols and competition guns."

It's more of a best cheap/low-cost 9 list.

I do agree that the CZ-75-type guns are some of the better guns for the money - and this guy obviously agrees since fully SEVEN of them appear on his 25 gun list (CZ 75b, Baby Eagle 9915R, CZ 75 P-01, Baby Eagle Semi-Comp. 9915RSL, Armalite AR-24, EAA Witness Steel, and EAA Witness Poly 4.5).

The Glock has over a 20 year history of reliability, the are over engineered, next to maintanance free, easy to fix and has so few moving parts. I would go so far to say it's the AK of the pistol world.

But you are correct!! CZ 75B is indeed the best pick:D

Okay, does the 75B have ambi safeties? In a recent magazine, there was a review of the stainless one, which said that the safety was ambi and that it had rubber grips. On the CZ-USA site, it says that the *85*is the 75 with ambi safety. Oh, and there's no mention of a stainless model...

I don't believe the 75b has ambi safeties, my friends' sure doesn't. I thought the 85's claim to fame was the ambi-safeties as well, and a slightly different trigger.

fav 9mm?

Single Stack: 1911 [full or combat commander] or Star B +/or BM.

75 is the model get CZ famous. 85 combat has all the bell and whistle and shadow to be the best among the 75. There are way too many information out there. Such as thehighroad.org; czforums.com; glock talk.com and as well as the following http://www.gunweek.com/2006/feature0501.html

A pure beauty...

Sure, shoots great, works great. Mine does anyway. Glock shooters either hate them or sell their Glocks. A good gun for IDPA SSP or IPSC Production. The M&P .45acp was in the hands of the winner of CDP Division recently at the S&W IDPA Championships.

If you like a polymer gun and the S&W fits your budget requirements you could do a lot worse.

Take Care

I concur. I love mine. It fits like a glove, shoots flawlessly and I find it has very little muzzle rise, especially for a light polymer gun. I like the trigger pull a lot better than the glock too.
