This was out with me last weekend as well, I've actually shot this one quite a bit over the last couple years, for a cheap clone ($450) of a Beretta 92F Compact with rail, it's a surprisingly enjoyable pistol to shoot, very well made, finish is great, not much bad I can say about this one except it's a bit heavy, but that makes shooting it even easier. I'd like to get a matte stainless Compact with no rail, but I've never seen one in Canada, just the mirror finished stainless. I like the compact rail look, but not the full size rail look if that makes any sense lol.
I also have a full sized with no rail and it is a bit more accurate but not by much, also the same ceracote whatever type black finish, which is probably more durable then the Beretta finish to be honest, doesn't show wear at all.
I actually like the wide smooth finger groove grip better then a real 92. Being in the same ballpark as surplus 92S pistols, I don't think I would even look at the surplus pieces. Trigger is good in both s/a and d/a, and it eats anything you put through like most Beretta 92's. Very smooth shooting pistol, decent sights, still good deals on them I see online. It's not a target pistol by any means, but it is quite acceptable for hitting what you are aiming at, well within the Glock/M&P duty pistol accuracy range.

Nice , Is the front sight part of the slide bridge or can it be easily replaced?

Yeah milled into the slide...fixed but high 3 dot sights.
But I did paint the dots with glow paint and it holds a light lol. Plus it shoots POA which is a bonus.

i just bought a Girsan Regard full size the other day (stainless with polished slide) and I am a bit surprised by the quality of it. The barrel and action look very well made with no obvious tool marks anywhere on the gun. Parts are well fit and all of them are metal.

I have only run 200 rounds through it but it has run perfectly so far.

Time will tell but I am really happy with the purchase and, given the quality I have seen so far, I would not hesitate to buy another Girsan. In fact, I wanted to buy a full size 9mm 1911 from them but I couldn't find one in Canada (perhaps they don't make them?).

I have a stainless Regard MC and had it out for the first time yesterday and I was real impressed with how well it shot. I was using cheap Remington UMC and put 100 trouble free rounds downrange. I was pleasantly surprised of the groups I was getting at 25 yards. The stainless model is quite nice and it seemed to get some attention at the range. Other shooters who asked what I was shooting were very surprised it was Turkish made. I offered others a chance to shoot it, but they were content with just handling it and all were impressed by the fit and finish, even the ones who owned Beretta 92's. Im happy with my purchase and glad I chose the stainless model as something different then the more common black models. The black model was $460 and the stainless was $540 at Tenda. And to think I walked in to purchase a Beretta and actually preferred the Girsan side by side. With the cash I saved, I also bought a Sig 1911. No regrets here
