I went for a walk today just as it started snowing, I got into the hunting area just as it started snowing heavily. The snow didn't let up and it was impossible to see any further than about 75 yards, it was getting near dark so I started back to the truck.:)
On my walk back there was a big buck track cutting across the trail I walked in on, it was fresh enough that there was no snow in the track even though it was still snowing. I had a look around for any movement but the bush was so thick where the tracks went in that he could have been standing there looking at me and I wouldn't have seen him. As I looked at the tracks in the snow I thought that if I left 5 minutes earlier I would have met him on the trail and the story may have a different turnout. That's the way it goes and I will try again another day.:dancingbanana:

Cool!

And yah the snow was pretty interesting today in our area of VanIsle also.
Almost a total white out at the target range.

Sounds like them Bucks think it's safe, and are peeking out more.

Deer & moose always move around in a heavy snowstorm!
& will usually lay down right at the end of it.
If you can find the track of an animal that was moving in the storm you usually can track it right to it's bed right after:)
